About Usage

Can I use Mojiokoshi-san for free?

Yes, you can use our transcription service for free for a certain number of image pages and audio/video minutes each month.
As a free member, you can transcribe up to 10 minutes of audio/video per day and 10 images per day. However, we do not guarantee exact 24-hour updates.
For free use, only a maximum of 3 minutes of trial transcription is available. If you need to transcribe a lot of content, please consider our paid plans.

What file types are supported?

The supported file types are as follows:

File size: Less than 10MB
Supported file formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp
* If the text is sideways or upside down, transcription may not be possible, so please correct the orientation.
【Document Files】
File size: Less than 50MB
Supported file formats: .pdf
【Audio Files】
Audio duration: Within 90 minutes
File size: Less than 1GB
Supported file formats: .mp3, .wav, .wma, .m4a, .aifc, .flac, .aac, .aiff, .aifc
【Video Files】
Audio duration: Within 90 minutes
File size: Less than 1GB
Supported file formats: .mp4, .mov, .avi, .flv, .mkv, .webm, .wmv, .3gp
If your file format is not supported, you can convert it to a supported format.
If the file size is large, you can split the file to use it.

Do I need to do anything special when using it for free?

No, not at all. You are free to use the transcribed data as you wish.

Is installation required?

No, no installation is required. You can use it on a web browser, so as long as you have internet access, you can use it anytime, anywhere.

Can I use it for commercial purposes even with the free plan?

Yes, commercial use is permitted.

Is there a mobile app?

We are currently considering app development. For Android devices, you can use it like an app by selecting "Add to Home Screen."

Is personal information required for use?

No personal information is required for non-members. If you register as a free or paid member, you will need to provide your email address. Your name, address, etc., are not required.

Can one person (or one corporation) own multiple accounts?

Mojiokoshi-san prohibits owning multiple free accounts. You may own multiple paid accounts.

I can't log in to Mojiokoshi-san.

I can't transcribe with Mojiokoshi-san.

There are several reasons why transcription might fail. Please see here for troubleshooting steps when an error occurs.
Troubleshooting when an error occurs and transcription fails with Mojiokoshi-san

The transcription result from Mojiokoshi-san was unintelligible, like "aaaaa". Please refund the minutes.

If the transcription result is unintelligible, such as "aaaaa", it usually means there is no voice recorded in the file (e.g., continuous noise, silence). Please check the file content again.
If your audio file falls under the category of audio files that Mojiokoshi-san struggles to transcribe, we cannot refund the minutes.
If it does not fall under that category, please contact us via error report.

What is an error report?

We accept reports of errors and bugs occurring in Mojiokoshi-san. If an error report is approved, we offer a gift of 1 hour of transcription or a certain number of image transcriptions. For more details, please see [About Mojiokoshi-san Error Reports].

About Free Membership & Paid Plans

What can I do if I register for free membership?

Your transcription time will increase from 3 minutes/day to 10 minutes/day. The number of images will increase from 3 images/day to 10 images/day.
Free users can only perform a trial transcription of the first 3 minutes. Please note that this is not continuous time.

Will the types of transcription engines increase with a paid plan?

No, the types of transcription engines will not increase. However, for free members, transcription is limited to the first 3 minutes for each, but this restriction is lifted with a paid plan.

How do I purchase a paid plan?

You can purchase from the pricing page. For details, please see "How to Purchase Mojiokoshi-san Paid Plans (Basic, Value, Premium, Business)".

Will the transcription time (paid plan) be immediately reflected after purchasing a paid plan?

Yes, for credit card/debit card payments, it will be reflected within 1-3 minutes after purchase.
If you close the payment screen midway or encounter a redirect error, the plan may not be reflected correctly.
If the plan is not reflected after several minutes of purchase, please contact us via inquiry. We will manually process it (this will be done within 24 hours).

I purchased a paid plan, but I can only transcribe the first 3 minutes. Why?

1. You are logged in with the wrong account.
2. The plan was not reflected due to an error.
These are the two possibilities. First, please check your logged-in account and plan in the settings. If it's an error, please contact us via inquiry.

The file is 10 minutes long, but only the first 7 minutes are transcribed. Why?

Please check if the uploaded file is indeed a "10-minute file." Often, users find that what they thought was a 10-minute file was actually 7 minutes. If you are certain you uploaded a 10-minute file and it's not transcribing fully, please report it as an error.

I used up all my transcription time while on a paid plan. What should I do if I want to purchase additional transcription time?

Please cancel your current plan once, then re-subscribe to your desired plan from the pricing plan page.

I want to cancel my recurring subscription for the paid plan.

You can cancel anytime after logging in, from the "Cancel" button on the Settings screen. For details, please see "How to Cancel (Withdraw) Mojiokoshi-san Paid Plans".

I want to withdraw my account. How do I do that?

After logging in to Mojiokoshi-san, please proceed with the withdrawal process from the "Withdraw" button on the Settings screen. Please note that once you withdraw, you will no longer be able to log in to Mojiokoshi-san. Also, you cannot re-register with the same email address after withdrawing.

Basic Plan: 1000 yen/month
Audio: 24 hours/month
Images: 500 pages/month
Value Plan: 2000 yen/month
Audio: 60 hours/month

Premium Plan: 3000 yen/month
Audio: 120 hours/month
Images: 3000 pages/month

Is there a minimum contract period?

There is no minimum contract period. You can cancel anytime.

What payment methods are available?

We accept credit card payments, debit card payments, and bank transfers.
Bank transfers are only available for annual contracts.

I'd prefer a one-time purchase plan instead of a recurring subscription.

Currently, we only offer recurring subscriptions. We will consider future requests and adjust our plan structure accordingly.

Is the recurring subscription a monthly payment?

Payments are processed every 30 days (1 month) by the payment system. However, due to payment system specifications, the payment date may shift by about one day.
Please check the email from the payment system for the exact next payment date.
The system displays the payment date as +30 days from the date of the last payment.

I want to change my paid plan. What should I do?

Please cancel your current plan once, then re-subscribe to your desired plan from the pricing plan page.

How do I cancel?

To cancel your paid plan, log in to Ondoku-san, click the Settings → Cancel link, and easily submit your cancellation request. You can cancel yourself 24 hours a day.

After canceling my paid plan, what happens to my available image pages and minutes?

Your current available image pages and minutes will be retained for 30 days from the last payment.
On the next renewal date, it will revert to the free plan's transcription time (10 minutes/day) and image count (10/day). Also, when updated to the free plan, the maximum transcription time per file will be 3 minutes.

After canceling my paid plan, I withdrew from Mojiokoshi-san. Now I can't log in?

Once you withdraw, you will no longer be able to log in or re-register with Mojiokoshi-san using that account. If you wish to continue using the service, please do not withdraw.

Can I get a quote or invoice?

We only issue quotes and invoices for annual contracts paid via bank transfer. This service is only available in Japanese.
Users can easily issue quotes and invoices themselves. Please refer to the article below for detailed instructions on how to issue quotes and invoices.

If paying by bank transfer, who bears the transfer fees?

Transfer fees are to be borne by the customer. Thank you for your understanding.

I accidentally created multiple invoices. How can I delete them?

Customers cannot delete or cancel invoices themselves. If you accidentally created multiple invoices, please contact us via inquiry to request deletion.

Can I get a receipt?

We issue receipts according to the payment method. The method of issuing receipts varies depending on the payment method. For more details on receipts, please see here.

Will unused minutes be carried over to the next month?

Unused minutes and image pages are reset each month and will not be carried over to the next month.

About Specifications & Security

What AI engines are implemented?

We use Google Cloud Speech-to-Text,
AmiVoice (Japanese only),
and Whisper.
(As of January 2024)
We plan to introduce multiple AI engines in the future.

Will uploaded images, audio, or video be used for other purposes?

A limited number of our employees may use them for error verification, transcription accuracy checks, and as statistical data for improving speech recognition technology and research and development. However, we will never publicly disclose audio content or share data or transcribed text with third parties.
Audio and transcribed text data will be stored on our server from the upload date for:
Non-members: 1 day
Free members: 30 days
Paid members: Until the member deletes the history themselves
and then deleted. The AI engine is designed not to "retain logs." Your images, audio, video, and text will not be used for unintended purposes.

Will Google or Amivoice use my audio?</
