Mr. Transcription Paid Plans: Billing Timing, Plan Changes, and Things to Note

This article explains when paid plans of Mr. Transcription are billed, how to change plans, and what to keep in mind.

Mr. Transcription is free to use, but if you want to use it a lot, you will need a paid plan.

When Paid Plans Are Billed

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions.

First, let us answer these questions from our customers:

• When is the monthly plan billed?
• Is there a recommended time to sign up, such as "better to sign up at the start of the month"?

We will explain these points.

Mr. Transcription monthly plans are billed every 30 days.

• At the start of the month
• In the middle of the month
• At the end of the month

Whenever you sign up, you will be billed automatically 30 days later.

So there is no need to time your sign-up.

The moment you feel you want to use it is the best time to sign up.

If You Only Want to Use It for One Month

If you only want to use one month of service (24 hours, 60 hours, or 120 hours), follow these steps:

1. Purchase the plan you want on the pricing page
2. Cancel before the next renewal date

Following these steps, you can use just one month of service (24 hours, 60 hours, or 120 hours).

Mr. Transcription has no minimum contract period and no cancellation fee.

You can cancel at any time, and you can sign up again at any time as well.

About Changing Plans

When you use a monthly plan, you may find that you use more than expected and want to change plans.

To change plans, you need to cancel your current plan first and then sign up for the new plan.

Example: Basic plan → cancel on the settings page → sign up for the Value plan on the purchase page

　　Free plan (no need to cancel or delete your account) → purchase the plan you want on the purchase page

After logging in to Mr. Transcription, you can cancel as follows:

Settings page → "Cancel" at the bottom of the page

Cancellation is available there.

There is one thing to note, however.

When you change plans, your current remaining hours and pages are not carried over to the new plan.

The moment you sign up for the new plan, the hours and pages available become the limits of the new plan.

Example: Basic plan (24 hours and 500 pages per month) → Value plan (60 hours and 1,200 pages per month)

With 10 days left until the next renewal, 1 hour remained, but the user switched to the Value plan

→ The Value plan applies, the balance becomes 20 hours, and the next charge occurs 30 days after the first payment

This is an example of how the available hours and pages are calculated.

Therefore, if you want to change from one paid plan to another paid plan, the following are good times to switch:

• the day before the next billing date
• when you have used up all of your available transcription hours and pages

These are the recommended times to change plans.

When moving from the free plan to a paid plan, the value is the same no matter when you sign up.

How to Cancel a Paid Plan of Mr. Transcription

• When you cancel a paid plan, you become a free member.
• After you cancel a paid plan, Mr. Transcription will not charge you for the next billing period.
• After you cancel a paid plan, you can keep using the remaining transcription hours and pages you purchased with the paid plan until the next renewal date.
• The history of transcriptions created while you were on a paid plan is also deleted automatically 30 days after you become a free member.
• Deleted history cannot be restored.
